Something like an idea …
I am not alone in thinking the modern web here in 2026 — while having some wonderful bits —
is also filled with a lot of nearly indistinguishable garbage. Rarely does anyone tap into the full
potential, so much of it feels like the cheap products found at carnival game booths. There are some
really creative sites, but they get lost in algorithms, or buried under the weight of millions of other
sites. Then there are the people who have wonderful words and ideas to share, practically forced into a
blog-like structure, where they often get lost in algorithms, or buried under the weight of millions of
other sites blogs.
I long to do something different. Something unusual … off-beat … quirky … that will get lost and buried like everything else; I have no illusions. But oh what fun I could have. Except I haven’t the web skills needed to pull off even a bit of what I want to try.
So I have some learning to do.
The AlbertTerego.com site will be the first small step for me; a place where I can try some things out
while also putting electron to screen and capturing some thoughts, some stories, and a few other odds
and ends. Something to satisfy my whimsey, if nothing else.
(And now I’ll make a button that links to the site; busy busy busy).
